EPIPHANY
A WORD, PLEASE: EPIPHANY
While discussing what word we would select this week, one of our team received an email from a friend. It gave us pause. Perhaps it’s a pause we all need.
So we set about creating the book Stardust and Mystery, imagining the work below was one of many musings by the author. The book is not real. The inspiration is:
Season of epiphany
Jennifer Jairdullo — January 31, 2023
I was just in Savannah for the funeral of my best friend’s father
A great man who will be very missed by everyone
The church he attended and help build had a sign that read: Season of epiphany
It got me thinking about what that would look like
A season of epiphanies
Epiphanies about how we really want to live
To be
Epiphanies about what we really want
And already have
Epiphanies about the possibilities we all hold
And squander
What if we are capable of so much more than we know?
What if we tried to find out?
What would you start?
What would you quit?
What epiphanies are you having reading this?
We are spiritual beings having a human experience
We know we are made of stardust and mystery
Nobody knows what happens on the other side
All we can do is live a life worth honoring when it’s complete
Be kinder
Be curious
Be grateful
Be the kind of person that will be missed by everyone

ABOUT “A WORD, PLEASE”
In celebration of our 25th year, we developed our own kind of word game. Throughout 2023 we will take submissions of favorite words and see what they inspire. Comment below with your favorite(s) — no context or explanation — and we will pick a word to explore. No limits, no boundaries.
